RAISE – The CPA System

Introduction

RAISE is Continu Plus Academy's whole-school framework that serves as the golden thread connecting all aspects of school life. Built upon five core values - Respect, Attendance, Inclusion, Safety, and Empowerment - RAISE provides a shared language that all pupils and staff engage with daily.

The Pupil Tracker System

Daily Tracking Framework

Students are tracked throughout each day using a Daily RAISE Sheet. Teachers score students on each of the five RAISE values during every lesson and tutor time, with scores ranging from 0-5 points for each value.

Per Lesson

  • Maximum: 25 points (5 values × 5 points)

  • Green: 20-25 points

  • Amber: 13-19 points

  • Red: 0-12 points

Full Day

  • Maximum: 125 points

  • Green: 100-125 points

  • Amber: 63-99 points

  • Red: 0-62 points

Friday (Shorter Day)

  • Maximum: 75 points

  • Green: 60-75 points

  • Amber: 38-59 points

  • Red: 0-37 points

RAISE for Praise and Rewards

Recognition Structure

All recognition is explicitly linked to RAISE values, reinforcing the shared language and helping pupils understand exactly what they've done well. 

Daily Rewards

  • Immediate recognition for green lesson/daily colours

Weekly Rewards

  • Enhanced recognition for predominantly green days

  • RAISE value champions identified

Termly/Annual Rewards

  • Major awards based on cumulative RAISE data

  • Individual value excellence or overall achievement

RAISE for Target Setting

Target Setting Process

  1. Review tracker data with pupil to identify patterns

  2. Identify priority area (1-2 RAISE values needing improvement)

  3. Set specific target using RAISE language

  4. Agree success criteria (what green-level looks like)

  5. Monitor progress using daily tracker

  6. Celebrate success and set new target

Demonstrate green Inclusion by actively supporting at least one peer in each group activity

RAISE in Lesson Observations

Observers assess how effectively staff promote each RAISE value using the same scoring criteria and traffic light system as the pupil tracker.

Implementation in Practice

Daily Operations

  • Teachers complete trackers by circling appropriate scores for each RAISE value

  • Calculate lesson totals and assign lesson colours

  • Staff use RAISE language throughout the day for praise, expectations, and feedback

Weekly Review

  • Tutors review sheets and provide feedback

  • Note patterns emerging during the day or across the week

  • Work with pupils to set RAISE targets based on data
