Uniform guidelines

The expectation is that all pupils at ContinU Plus Academy must wear a CPA t-shirt or CPA jacket with suitable trousers/skirt and footwear. CPA t-shirts and CPA jacket are at no cost to the home and they are provided by ContinU Plus Academy.

The school keeps a stock of uniform. If students attend school dressed inappropriately, they will be expected to change. If this is not possible, we reserve the right to return the pupil home until the issue has been rectified and our expectations have been met.

Uniform -

• CPA T-shirt/Polo shirt

• CPA zip up jacket

• Black/blue/grey trousers, joggers, shorts, leggings or skirt

• Dark trainers (preferably not white as they will get ruined)

• CPA T-shirt – must be worn appropriately, no cropping the back

• CPA Polo shirt – must be worn appropriately, no cropping the back

• CPA zip up jacket

• Black leggings

• Dark joggers

Footwear – Appropriate footwear as stated above. We do not allow opened toe shoes, flip flops and crocs to be worn to school. These are not safe, are leisure wear and do not support the pupil’s ankle.

Hair – We allow pupils to wear their hair down, but if they are taking part in P.E., Science or cooking we do expect their hair to be tied back.

Makeup – Minimal makeup may be worn to school.

Jewellery – All rings, long necklaces, bracelets and hooped earrings should not be worn at school. Pupils with pierced ears may wear small plain gold or silver stud earrings. There should only be one earring in each lobe. Nose studs are allowed as long as they are a stud.

Nails - We understand that some students may enjoy having acrylic nails or nail extensions. We will allow students to wear e.g., short, natural-looking acrylic nails, and all nails must be no longer than medium length past the fingertip and shaped square.

Other items – No balaclavas, no hoods, and no hats to be worn in school.
