Why Study Food?
To understand the scientific principles behind food and nutrition and use a number of practical techniques to prepare and cook food.

How is it taught?
You will have two 70-minute lessons a work a week and are assessed through both practical and written skills.
What do we learn?
You will work towards a GCSE in Food Preparation and Nutrition. Topics include food, nutrition and health, food science, food safety, food choice and food provenance.
